This dog’s story could have been very different.

Hank he was just a puppy when a passerby found him alone in the woods. But instead of running around happily as one might expect from a dog his age, he just sat on his old bed.
The dog really was too sadsurrounded by old toys and a sealed bag of food.
Abandoned and alone
Quickly realizing something was wrong, the man who found him called a local animal shelter for help.
When the volunteers arrived, their initial concern was that the dog might be defensive and aggressive towards them. Luckily, they soon discovered that Hank was an incredibly dog sweet and affectionate.
The dog was immediately taken to the vet, who found him a broken paw for over two weeks. The saviors of him understood so that he hadn’t moved from his bed in the woods because he was really in so much pain.
A bright future for Hank
Since it was clear that Hank needed a more complicated surgery, was transferred to a veterinary hospital. While waiting for him to regain his strength, the big dog has received the best medicine of all: lots of love and cuddles from all the hospital staff.
Ever since Hank’s story was shared on social media, adoption requests have been pouring in for him. However, it will take some time before it is ready to be adopted.
