For many people, dogs are full members of the family. For better or for worse, no matter how hard it is to take care of them, they would never abandon their furry loved ones.
Unfortunately not everyone is equally responsible with their pets, as was the case with Adrianoand old and blind dogabandoned by its owner in the summer of 2022 in Argentina.
Abandon a blind dog
Adriano’s story went viral on social media after the association paw at home shared a heartwarming video on her Instagram account.
In the pictures we see a young woman walking down the street with her red-coated Cocker Spaniel.
Before abandoning him, the woman makes sure that no one sees her and throws the dog in the garden of a house.
Adriano remains lying as he was left, because apparently the poor dog is tired being of advanced age, so he makes no effort to follow her, bark at her or beg her not to leave him there.
The letter
The sad images are accompanied by a long text which reads:
«How can you leave the house, with the written letter, put on the harness, the leash, and take him for a walk like any other day, knowing that you will abandon him? How can such bad people exist?», write the volunteers.
Adriano’s mistress abandoned him to his fate, but not before leaving a letter mentioning the name of the dog, who was 14 years old and three years had passed since he had gone blind; as well as clarifying that he is not neutered.
In the letter he describes that he is good, he doesn’t bite, he doesn’t like home-cooked food and that he doesn’t know how to eat bones, all in large letters and with a brown marker, the same color as Adriano’s fur.
The letter left to Adriano he did not specify any reason why this dog was abandoned.
Now Adriano is in good hands
Fortunately the Cocker Spaniel was found shortly after and whoever found him contacted the Argentinean association paw at home.
The dog was welcomed in the kennelready to find a new family and rebuild his life with someone who loves him as he deserves.
