In fact, the mare, Brenda Leeand the little dog, Lucy, they knew each other well and were very close friends. They were simply enjoying a swim not in the Danube, but in a waterway in the state of Rhode Island, USA. United States.
An equine photographer, Jodie Sinclairhe took some pictures of them which he then shared on Facebook.
Their owner, Brian Sean Reid from Horses Know the Way Home, was surprised that the photo went viral, moreover associated with a story so far from reality. But he decided to let it go.
