On December 17, a couple is out and about in Cham, Germany, with their four-legged friends when suddenly an attacker pounces on one of them. And he does it from the sky.

The shock of what happened on the Sunday in question is still profound. Both for female Jack Russell Fibi than for its owners.

The golden eagle attacks the Jack Russell

According to a media locale, a golden eagle grabbed the dog and dragged him along. The only luck: the animal was wearing a sweater and therefore the bird is unable to grab it and hold it in flight.

When it lands, the owners try to snatch the dog from the eagle, but they succeed only with great difficulty.

The raptor’s claws have already dug into the dog’s neck and tail. But not only:

“The ear and muzzle had claws going through them, there were holes in them,” the owners reported.

It wasn’t a wild eagle

Apparently, the eagle belongs to a local falconer who, himself, was very shocked by the incident and is paying the vet’s bills.

Nothing can be done about the enormous scare that Fibi and his family suffered. Birds are, understandably, a serious danger to four-legged friends.

Incidentally, a similar case also happened in Italiaprecisely in Naples, where a seagull grabbed a dog last summer.
