The photo of a group of dogs standing and neatly placed in single file made the rounds of the web after it was published by the entrepreneur, director and volunteer Nate Mook.
We are precisely in a street of Kramatorsk, a city ofUkraine eastern, where a station was set up for the distribution of food and water to wandering animals, at first domestic now stray due to the current situation in the Eastern European country.
Dogs in single file await their turn
The American Nate Mook went to Ukraine months ago for some humanitarian projects. In addition to this, he has been involved in setting up various feeding stations for animals in all Ukrainian cities, following the lack of support or assistance for animals on site.
The animal welfare volunteer Nate Mook made known the story of these animals featured in the photo, which had now been forgotten by everyone.
I’ve never seen anything like this. Yesterday we installed a displaced pet feeding station in Kramatorsk (with your support!). This morning, the Ukrainian dogs waited in line to eat. 🇺🇦🐕 pic.twitter.com/5aEDCvUE2n

A SBS News told about the desperate situation that Ukrainian animals are experiencing, which risk their lives every day, and the importance of helping them:
“These animals are starving. Some of them come to the distribution stations and are very friendly, but many others are very, very scared. If you put the food out, they take it immediately. It is truly tragic and sad to see the situation they are living in now, being able to support them is very, very important ».
An important initiative for animals in Ukraine
Livestock stations for stray dogs and cats are set up in places near hospitals, churches or volunteer centers, so that local organizations and people can take care of them and provide them with food.
Thanks to the support of donationsMook and his team have been able to purchase pet food and are organizing veterinary support these days.
Once they realized what I was carrying, the cats ran up to greet me. Many of the pets here in Kupiansk & other liberated areas are traumatized from the occupation & bombing (Russians were pushed back, but continue to fire rockets), and Tania is doing her best to care for them. 🐱 pic.twitter.com/QMWHF0Omyd

Nate Mook hopes these photos of him “will inspire people to support animals in Ukraine that need a lot of help right now.”
Met so many furballs in Izium today! They were under occupation for 7 months, barely surviving. Electricity is coming back now, but many pets have no home left. The two black cats are being taken care of by a Ukraine army battalion whose commander loves cats! We left them food.👇 pic.twitter.com/lO0Xy0JNGP
