Need to speak with a Vet Doctor?

A platform worker sees a shadow in the sea and starts running

Some workers who worked off the Golfo del Siam, inThailandaboard a oil plant, they made an incredible discovery. After sighted something in the seaone of them saw that an animal was floundering in the waves.

Immediately rescued, he was rescued and placed in the care of a veterinarian.

A long surprise

While working on an oil rig located about 217km off the nearest coast, four workers were left speechless after noticing that something in the water was swimming towards the ship. One of the workers, Vitisak Payalaw, quickly realized that it was a dog and he could not believe his eyes, thinking that the animal (actually a dog) was lost at that distance from the earth.

“We found her while she was trying to swim towards our rig, which is about 217 km from the shore – he said – we barely noticed her little head sticking out of the waves, but if the sea had been more rough , I think we probably wouldn’t have noticed it at all. ‘

Immediately, everyone went to work to save hersince she was exhausted and without strength.

The rescue

With the help of a rope they pulled her up and when they retrieved her the little girl was terrified and almost frozen from the cold.

“After carrying her to safety on the lower part of the platform, she did not cry or bark. We looked for a way to help her and, in the end, we decided to use the rope to tie her body to lift her – continued the worker -. When we first took her on board, she was depressed and tired from being in the water for a long time. She had also lost a lot of fluids. When we made her drink and eat her symptoms improved. She has started to sit and walk normally. ‘

According to Vitisak Payalaw, the dog probably fell into the sea from a boat, which would explain why it was so far from the coast. But for the moment the mystery remains. After asking for help via radio from a tanker that was returning to shore, the little girl was sent to the vet thanks to the intervention of the animal organization Watchdog Thailand and it will soon be ready for adoption if no one claims it sooner. One of the workers who saved her has already volunteered.
