2 days of anguish for these masters before finding their dog who had fled during a storm (video)





Many dogs are afraid of thunderstorms. They are then panicked, which can lead to dangerous behavior for themselves. Macey, a young Kelpie, fled into the wilderness. A 48-hour active search led to her being found. And safe and sound too!











Kelsea Fox et Aden Pfitzner live in Australia with their dog Macey. The latter makes the happiness of the couple who consider her as their baby.

On Sunday August 28, 2022, a thunderstorm broke out at Mount Gambier. Macey was then attached to the sign of a service station while her masters paid for the full tank of gas.

That’s when she got scared and ran off into the wild. At first, her owners thought she had been dognapped, but that was not the case.

Kelsea et Aden therefore crisscrossed the area by car for hours, shouting her name to bring her back, in vain. They ended up posting a cry for help on social media, which was heard by the community.

A surge of solidarity and colossal means to localize it

Kelsea received several messages from people claiming to have spotted Macey. Unfortunately, one of them was a scam, which hurt the mistress deeply.

“Someone posted a comment with a close-up of a Kelpie that had been taken to the vet. I was going to contact this individual, but someone warned me it was a scam”has explained Kelsea at News.

After this stroke of bad luck, residents claimed to have heard barking coming from a steep area of Saddlebetween the lake Valley et Leg of Mutton Lake.

A rescue team was then organized, drone in support to locate the unfortunate.

Happily, Macey was found. Aden climbed the steep cliff, fought against brambles and brush and then picked up his beloved dog.

“There was a rope nearby which was fully secured. This is what they used to climb up there”clarified Kelsea before adding: “She is unharmed. There are no scratches, her paws are fine, she was not wet and her body temperature is perfect. She wasn’t even dehydrated.”.

The reunion was very emotional. The couple warmly thanked those who came to their aid.

“We were so relieved last night, we sat next to her and cried with happiness knowing she was there, safe”told Kelsea.
