In July 2021, a waste handler urban in Granger, in Michigan (USA), noticed something unusual while unloading his truck.
Curious, he stopped what he was doing to take a closer look.
Dog found in garbage truck
What he found shocked him to the core. There, in the middle of the pile of rubbish, was a white dog.
The garbage man had no idea how the animal had gotten there, but it likely had been thrown in a dumpster and then accidentally transferred into the truck without being noticed.
So it survived the long journey and the unloading process. He was lucky to still be alive!
One lucky puppy on the mend
The garbage collector immediately contacted the Capital Area Humane Societyan organization that helps homeless animals, which was able to recover the dog and provide him with the cure which he needed.
Luckily, the dog is now in good healthbut until the case of his abandonment is resolved and since it is an open investigation into the animal abusemust remain in custody and cannot be adopted.
Let’s hope the little four-legged friend gets the happy ending she deserves!

The man who saved her life has been hailed as a hero and thousands of internet users have posted congratulations and thanks to the animal charity’s post, which reads:
“We would like to send a heartfelt thanks to her rescuer, who truly saved her life. It’s almost unbelievable that she endured being moved from a dumpster, into a garbage truck, and then, she went through the journey and the unloading process.
