On the evening of December 31, 2021, in Denver, on Colorado (USA), the Animal Welfare Office Denver Animal Shelter receives a phone call.
The callers are employees of a thrift shop to which a family had donated a recliner.
An armchair… and much more!
When the owners leave the sofa, the employees hear meowing from inside. As soon as they peek inside, they notice there was a Red Cat stuck in the couch!
Officer Humphreys scans the cat, but the microchip is out of date. Because of this, he is unable to contact the owners.
Where is Montequlla?
When the family of the feline realizes that Montequlla was not at home, they search the entire house without success.
After some thinking, they return to the thrift store where they left the chair and are informed that they have indeed found the animal. Fortunately, they were also able to provide them with the contact details of the officer who had handled the case.
Fortunately, this strange case had a happy ending and the orange kitty is now back with his family, who are also happy and relieved to be able to embrace Montequlla again.
