Rescuers from a Russian association that deals with dogs in distress had heard that there was one litter in the snow.
The little ones desperately needed their help. But something very sad happened during the rescue.
Lives to be saved
No one knew how the mother and the cubs found themselves out there alone, but the shelter staff decided they had to intervene, otherwise the cubs would not have survived.
Among them was a white puppy who seemed to struggle to walk. His mom hugged him to protect him, indicating to the rescuers that he was there something was wrong in him and that he needed more attention.
The mother and the four healthy puppies were taken to the animal shelter. Instead, the little white dog had to go on a different journey.
Heartbreaking separation
Having health problems, he would have to go to another place to receive the cure he needed: a 12-hour journey awaited him.
But as the car with the four puppies and the mom drove away, something heartbreaking happened.
Realizing that his brothers were leaving him alone, the little white got to to crydevastated by being separated from them and feeling abandoned.
Cure intensive
The puppy was in good hands despite being separated from his siblings. The refuge decided to call him Smiley and took him to the vet for an examination.
From the check it became known that the poor puppy had i worms and was suffering from rickets: for this reason he had problems with walking.
Smiley was immediately placed under treatmenther paws were cast and she started a therapy based on massage and physiotherapy.
Happy end
Even though it took some time, all the efforts paid off and eventually little Smiley was able to start walking properly.
True: Smiley had a really difficult start in life, but now he’s a dog very happy and healthy.
Smiley, her mom and all her siblings found one home foreverwhere they can get all the love and attention they need.
