This story that happened in Swansea, South Wales, is concrete proof of how much it is important to microchip their own animals.

A telltale microchip
It all starts when, after weeks of feeding Mo, the neighbors decide to take him to the cattery Llys Nini Animal Center. In fact, the black-haired feline was orphaned after the death of his owner, so he deserved to find a new family ready to love him.
The visit to the cattery, however, takes one unexpected turn. Before registering it to give it up for adoption, in fact, veterinary surgeons look for the presence of a microchip. They identify one, but with extreme astonishment they notice that the name of the registered owner, it’s not the same of the dead one.
In fact, it turns out that the cat, eight years earlier, he had already been in that shelter to then be adopted by a volunteer, Lizzy Harris. A few weeks after arriving at Lizzy’s home, however, little Mo disappeared into thin air and, despite her searches, the young woman was unable to find him.
After getting too far and lost, little Mo had found a new home.
A reunion after 8 years
As soon as they find out this incredible news, the vets they contact Lizzy and they tell her everything. The woman then without hesitation runs to the shelter and is reunited with her beloved kitty.
