In Italy, unfortunately, there is still one false belief that animals should not be sterilized for their own good. And so, away to dogs and cats in the wild that mate and increase the number of homeless dogs and kittens.
The initiative of an Italian municipality
To counter this phenomenon, the the municipality of Milan launched a project aimed at:

Vouchers will be available until November 20, 2023 and applicants must have a Isee less than 6,500 euros per year. Priority will be given to owners of more “special” breeds such as Pitbull, Rottweiler, Dogo Argentino and American Bulldog.
