Overwhelmed by the arrival of 32 puppies, the volunteers are in urgent need of help

Founded in 2018, TeLuMa’s Dream is a small group of three dog-loving Spanish volunteers.

They go to great lengths to save the dogs in the north of Spain and send them to their homes forever in United Kingdom e in Wales.

The situation of strays in Spain

In their area, specifically in the Spanish municipality of A Rua, in Galicia, the living conditions of many dogs are not what is expected. The strays roam the neighborhoods, many of them born on the street or abandoned by the owners.

They are then taken from local kennels, places overflowing with dogs and with terrible infrastructure. The animals that live there don’t really live, but they do survive.

Rescue the dogs from the kennel

This is where it comes into play TeLuMa’s Dream. Volunteers go to the kennel, choose the specimens that seem need more help and take them out of there. Puppies are particularly at risk as they are more susceptible to disease and being attacked by larger dogs.

Here because TeLuMa has recently saved 32 cubs from various kennels. From 3 month old Malinois to 8 month old Griffon, puppies are sure to come in all shapes and sizes!

Puppies for adoption

Since the three volunteers of TeLuMa’s Dream they cannot afford to have their own rescue center, the puppies will either be placed in foster families (which are difficult to find) or they will be taken to kennels that the association pays monthly.

The puppies will have to be microchipped, fully vaccinated, will be subjected to blood tests to identify any diseases, as well as dewormed, treated with pesticides and spayed or neutered when they are old enough.

Finally, they will be data for adoption and they will wait to meet their families for life, whether they are in Spain, England or Wales.

How can we help them?

While 32 pups seem to be like a dream, it’s actually a huge amount of work – and money – for the volunteers. They now have 32 more dogs to feed, vaccinate and find a home for.

And since TeLuMa’s is a very small group, it doesn’t get the same attention as other larger associations. Dogs sometimes take up to one year before they are noticed and travel to their homes forever. But TeLuMa he really hopes it isn’t so for their puppies.

All puppies ready for adoption are available on the TeLuMa website. If you’d like to adopt but simply can’t, don’t worry, there are other ways you can help. You can donate via GoFundMe o Teaming: Just 1 euro a month could make a big difference for dogs in need.

We hope that TeLuMa’s puppies (and all of their other dogs) will soon find their family for life!
