Nearly 200 dogs discovered and rescued from a person prosecuted for animal cruelty

Having already reported 3 years earlier for acts of animal abuse, a woman was arrested on August 12, and many dogs seized from her home. These canids were probably neglected and lived in poor conditions.

They will no longer have to suffer the consequences of overcrowding and neglect. 198 dogs have been rescued from a property where they were being held in appalling conditions, reports WQAD.

The intervention of the authorities took place on Friday August 12, 2022 in a house in Sherrarda rural municipality in the county of Mercer in the state of Illinois.

Steve Fosterhis neighbour, told WQAD having complained about barking and smells coming from the property in question for years. ” I couldn’t sit on my patio without hearing a barking dog. And when they all do it together it’s like a roar “, did he declare.

“Sad for these dogs. They are innocent”

Karen Plambeck had previously been sentenced to 24 months probation and fined $300 for animal cruelty in June 2022, after a first report in 2019.
