Il Larry cat it’s a symbol of British politics; one that is arguably more popular than all the Prime Ministers combined. In fact, Larry has more Twitter followers than Liz Truss!
And now he is also number 1 of Downing Street protectors: with the cat around, no one can access number 10!
More than a rat chase!
Larry was adopted in 2011 by the shelter Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and has since lived at number 10. His main jobs include chasing mice, testing nap points, and keeping prime ministers sane as they come and go.
But just yesterday, Larry was seen performing a duty that is a little above his pay. In fact, when a fox arrived lurking around number 10 Downing Street, Larry was immediately ready for defend its territory!

Although the fox was bigger than Larry, the brave big cat swelled his pecs and, with a slow feline walk, forced the fox to retreat.
Then, however, the fox tried the counterattack: too much for Larry, who charges at full speed and makes the fox run away. with the tail between the legs.
