John Alexander Palomino Bendives was on the street in Peru with his fiancée in front of his house without imagining that his quick reflexes would save the life of someone very precious to him in a matter of moments.

Here’s how things went.

Sudden meeting

John had just returned home after working for two weeks and was looking forward to spending some time relaxing with his family and four dogs.

However, before entering the apartment building, something unexpected happened.

As he stood outside talking to his girlfriend, his dogs above him were peeking over the railing from his rooftop apartment to the fourth floorthrilled to welcome him home.

At one point, something made him look up and, to his astonishment, he saw one of his dogs rushing towards him.

A puppy falls

The small one Mina she had been so excited to see her owner that she misjudged the distance and tried to jump or lost her balance, slipping and starting to fall to the street below.

Luckily, the boy didn’t hesitate and immediately threw up his arms to catch the falling puppy. It’s unlikely the four-legged would have survived the fall if its owner hadn’t grabbed it.

The good news is that Mina didn’t suffer any damage from her fall; she was just happy to be safe in John’s arms and she couldn’t stop wagging her tail.

Hopefully the dogs will be more careful next time!
