Dogs can detect your partner’s cheating, says the behaviorist

Dogs, outstanding detectives

While it may be difficult for the deceived person to find out the truth, the animal can be a good help to reveal infidelity.

Anna Webb, a British canine behaviorist, explains that dogs can use their olfactory abilities to identify movements and people they encounter.

On the other hand, they do not recognize the principle of adultery. For the professional, dogs are attentive to the moods and all movements of their masters.

“Your dog knows exactly where you’ve been. His sense of smell is his superpower. When he smells a new smell, he will remember it, especially if he is related to his owner’s mood. But he doesn’t know if this smell means that his human being is happy, sad, stressed or anxious,” explains Webb.

A dedicated area to store odors

The behaviorist recalls that “dogs have 220 million olfactory receptors against 5 million in humans”.

For her, our best friends «literally see with their noses. But what’s more, dogs have a dedicated area in their brain where they store every smell they’ve smelled.”

Canines are “«like a huge computer, a odor memory bank». Therefore, all dogs have the power to be detectives in their owners privacy!
