Katie Graham is suffering from serious medical issues including postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS), which is when a person’s heart rate increases rapidly.
Katie’s assistance dog, Baileyis trained to sense when your heart rate increases before you pass out and warn you so that you can get into a safe position.
Lifesaving dog
Concretely, Bailey performs a pressure therapy on Katie to lower her heart rate and encourage blood flow to keep her awake. The smart dog also fetches his medication, food, water, blanket, and phone. In fact, he always seems to know what he needs without being asked.
Bailey is always by Katie’s side, ready whenever she needs him to do whatever he’s trained to do. But sometimes, he’s been known to do things that weren’t in his training him. Katie managed to catch an example of this on video.
A determined dog
Katie was taking dishes from the dishwasher when Bailey detected it her human’s heart rate was increasing and could pass out.
Immediately, he encouraged her to sit down on the floor and grabbed her phone off the countertop so she could call for help. After that he went back to the kitchen to get her meds, but they were too far down the counter to reach.
Bailey he knows he is not allowed to go up on the kitchen counters, but the dog was determined to help Katiethen he jumped and grabbed the medicines, and then handed them to the girl.
To top it off, she opened the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water for Katie to take her meds with.

Proud Katie shared video of Bailey che he does everything to help her. The footage has drawn many comments from people impressed by Bailey’s immense love for her human and her determination to give her a paw, no matter what!
