Need to speak with a Vet Doctor?

Chained for years, Frida can’t walk. Then the turning point (Video)

Hold a chained dog for a prolonged time it is a real abuse and can have a serious psycho-physical impact on him.

It is a practice that “goes against the nature of the animal” – as the Court of Cassation says – which needs to be able to move freely and explore.

Unfortunately, there are people who don’t care about the welfare of their pets and treat them as mere objects, thinking they have no soul.

The Rescue of Frida

Fortunately some four-legged friends are saved by blue angels involved in animal protection. The rifugio Takis which we are talking about today is one of them.

Some time ago the volunteers of the shelter Takislocated in Ierapetra on the Greek island of Cretathey learned of the mistreatment suffered by a dog and took matters into their own hands.

In a video posted on their Facebook page, shelter staff are seen rescuing a dog named Frida.

At first, the pictures show the four-legged appearing scared e confused and with some difficulty walking. Having been chained for so long. she could only walk in circles and knew no other way to move.

“I took Frida and took her with me to the shelter. She’s so happy to be free, but she can’t walk! She is about 3 years old and she has probably been bonded her whole life,” reads the video description.

As the video progresses we see Frida starting to realize she has the freedom that he had never had before, thanks also to the encouragement of the rescuers. Now he can move, jump, run free.
