We recall that the latter derives fromEnglish White Terriera now extinct fighting dog born from a cross between the English Bulldog and a hunting dog.

Physical characteristics

This specimen is from small size with short hair. Normally the height at the withers varies between 25 and 36 cm, both in male and female specimens.

Its main characteristic is certainly the very elongated muzzle which ends in a black nose with well developed nostrils.

Although these are the main characteristics of this breed, the standard states that:

“There is no weight or height limit. The dog must give the impression of having the maximum amount of substance in relation to its size, taking into account the quality of the subject and the sex. It must always be well proportioned.’

The ears are erect, while the eyes are small and triangular in shape. The tail is short and carried horizontally.

Miniature Bull Terrier Temperament

The Miniature Bull Terrier is an energetic, cheerful and playful dog who loves to play the clown to amuse his owners.

It is a specimen that seeks one exclusive relationship with humans with whom he is very affectionate, but his character can sometimes be a problem since he can in some cases be stubborn. Despite this, it is a dog that still knows how to remain calm.

Appreciates children he likes to play with, but remains suspicious and wary of those he doesn’t know.

How to train a Bull Terrier Miniature with a stubborn temperament?

The training of this specimen requires patience, firmness and a good dose of flexibility.

It is cunning and knows how to test its master, even if only as a joke, so it is necessary to play smart.

In addition to his stubborn temperament, this is a dog that needs to undergo early socialization and a real education in independence, otherwise he risks being excessively attached to his master.

He gets along well with cats, but not very well with other dogs.
