There are those who ironically claim that in reality they are not dogs and cats to be sworn enemies, but cats and… Christmas trees. A video posted on social media shows that there is nothing more true!
A cat struggling with fairy lights and decorations just placed on the tree, it shows that his Christmas spirit is quite original. For his part, the tree seems to know how to “take revenge”.
A close encounter
The mistress of the cat filmed in the video has just decorated the Christmas tree. Balls, lights and lots of decorations, as tradition dictates.
And what’s more inviting for a playful cat than a beautiful tree dressed up for the party? An irresistible temptation, finished 1-1… ball in the centre!
A viral video
Yes, because in the video we see the cat playing with the decorations, with more and more vigor, until he tries to bite the lights.
At that point the tree begins to yield to the pressing pushes of the big cat, until it falls to the ground, putting the animal to flight, which manages to escape just as its decorated enemy is falling.
The video, posted by Gfycat, quickly went viral and in just over a year has reached more than 500,000 views. Lots of amused comments from those who are rooting for the cat. Seriously, however, you must always be careful to prevent the animal from being injured.
