For some it is normal to abandon their dog on the weekend in front of the kennel. Many cowards who don’t dare go through the whole procedure get rid of the animal in this way.
This is the case in the story today. Employees of the adoption center of the Greenville Humane Societyin South Carolina, they found Remythey immediately took care of her.
The dog was fed, watered and subjected to health evaluation.
The heart murmurs
Unfortunately, it turned out that Remy was sick. She has a 6th degree heart murmur that can be heard through her chest. An echocardiogram was requested and the Pitbull underwent drug treatment.
The note on the collar
But it wasn’t the worst of it. The piece of paper attached to Remy’s collar revealed something very unpleasant.
Someone wrote to us:
“Remy has a disease which I suppose is incurable. It must be abolished as soon as possible. My sister will not take care of her like the dog would.
It is not known who wrote the note: it seems to have been written by a child, but it could also be an uneducated adult.
The shelter employees assume that the person who left the dog did unbeknownst to the ownerbelieving she was doing him (and the dog) a favor.
The four-legged dog does not have a microchip, so finding the person to whom it belongs proved impossible and probably would not have been good for the animal either.
Remy will be healthy!
The echocardiogram showed a degenerative disease heart valve causing the murmurs: the dog does not need surgery or medication, but regular monitoring because this form of heart disease could get worse at any time.
For now, then, Remy has a chance for a long life! Good luck baby!
