Faced with her husband’s anguish, Annette thought that the presence of a dog would help him, a four-legged companion who could offer him unconditional love.

That is how Howard, a Bearded Collie puppy came into Mark’s life.

A book to thank Howard

«Howard has changed my life, he has helped me heal and smile every day, the love of a dog is unconditional. Of course Annette already knew that.’

The presence of the animal helped him overcome the disease and even inspired him to write a book.

“I decided to write a children’s book about Howard to thank him for his pure and selfless affection and to spread a message of unconditional love to children aged three to seven.”

Mark thought he would only publish one book, but instead he was offered a contract to write six: “It’s pretty amazing – who knows what life has in store for us… But if you’re living the situation I was in , talk, with a friend, with your family, call 911, pick up the phone and talk, there is a way out of the darkness.
