Another year has gone by and with the arrival of the 2023 they make their way i good intentions that each of us promises to keep (and then nobody does!).
New year, new life, they say. But if we wanted new year, old life? After all, what more could we pet owners want when our ball of fur already gives us all the love in the world?
And since we know that your dogs and cats are like children to you, just as they are to us, here you go 5 things that we at Todocat have done automatically at the stroke of midnight: we are sure that you too have done at least one of these actions!
1. You went to check that the bang of the champagne or the fires didn’t scare your pet
You know, animals are much more sensitive than us to sounds, so they don’t like hearing you wildly uncork the bottle of sparkling wine and even less hearing the bang of fireworks on the street.
So, after realizing you made a mistake with your bottle (like every year!) you immediately went to your pet to make sure you didn’t scare it.
We hope you are remember to recover the champagne cork if you made it fly through the air! Your dog or cat may eat it if you leave it at home.
2. You kissed your dog or cat to wish them a happy new year
After having reassured your pet about the barrels, you kissed him and whispered in his ear «Happy New Year, my love!».
Admit it!
3. You filled your pet’s bowl with a special meal
Not just lentils and cotechino for us humans (and only for us!). At midnight you went to get your four-legged friend’s bowl and prepared him a gourmet meal worthy of New Year’s Eve. True or not?
4. You caressed him by reminding him how much you love him and how great the new year together will be
And then off to good intentions! After serving him food we are sure that you too did like us thousand promise to your pet for 2023.
Watch out Fido and Micio don’t forget! So if you have promised him walks even with -15 degrees or scratching posts around the house, he will have to keep his word!
5. You have calmed the jealousy of your partner who sees himself in the background compared to your pet!
And finally it’s time to dedicate yourself to jealousy! After petting our pet we had to go and calm down our human partners who felt overshadowed at the stroke of midnight.
