Il New Year’s it can be as fun as it is dangerous for our 4-legged friends. Often, in fact, in addition to tremendous fear of barrels who have many dogs, we owners find ourselves dealing with dirty streets and dangerous, where it is possible that there may also be some unexploded firecrackers.

So here are some tips for coping with the new year’s eve (and the post new year) together with Fido in all serenity.

1. Don’t leave Fido alone on New Year’s Eve

Some dogs do not immediately develop the fear of barrels, sometimes it can happen that his fear is linked to a traumatic event.

That’s why it would be better avoid leaving Fido alone on New Year’s Eve: he could get so scared that he carries this fear with him forever!

2. Leftovers from street food? An irresistible treat for Fido!

Fido will be hopelessly attracted to food residues and from the numerous rubbish scattered on the street, however it is good to pay attention to what he smells and what he puts in his mouth.

If he were to find a nice cotechino… who would be able to stop him?

3. Beware of night walks

On New Year’s Eve they are all a little crazier, and consequently ours walks they will have to be more watch out: people driving seem more reckless on New Year’s Eve, so if you are in the habit of taking Fido for a walk without a leash, it would be good on this particular day to take one more precaution!

4. Watch what we leave at home

Tables too high e apparently inaccessible to Fido, will not be enough to appease his insatiable desire to attend the dinner. It is important that each dish is really distant from hers greedy jawsand that also the spirits are kept under control, these are in fact potentially toxic for our dog.

Instead, we want to start a wonderful year together with Fido and those we love the most! Happy 2023 everyone!
