Knowledge of the canine world is increasingly advanced and is very different from that of a few years ago. However, there are still people who see dogs as mere objects to be used as they see fit.
It is the case of dog fights, a “fad” that some people still practice in exchange for money. In other words, they use their dogs, come what may, to make money.
No to dog fights!
This is what warns the Civil Guardthe Spanish police, on his Twitter account:
Are there still people who enjoy the #savagery What constitutes dogfighting for money?

The posted message is accompanied by a photo of a Pit Bull with a sign around his neck which reads:
“No to dog fights! If you want money, work!”
The Guardia Civil also took the opportunity to ask for people’s cooperation by offering to call a dedicated number if anyone witnesses or knows of a dog fight.
A controversy on Twitter
For their part, Internet users have entered the debate. “They should condemn all people who abuse animals and never have the right to have them back.” A phrase that many have agreed with.
But some seemed to disagree with this, such as one user who equated dog fighting to boxing. And here is the answer he received: “I don’t like boxing, but at least boxers decide for themselves, not dogs.”
It remains to be hoped that this debate, which should take place in all countries, will allow things to move forward forever and save dogs.
In Italy, these brawls can be punished with the imprisonment from 1 year to 3 years it’s a fine from 50,000 euros to 160,000 euros. Don’t hesitate to contact law enforcement if you witness an animal fight.
