Chris and Mariesa are true dog lovers who go out of their way to save them.
The couple have already adopted several small dogs, but once again they both decided to visit a shelter to see if there were any needy dogs to include in their family.
Stories: a dog in trouble
When Chris and Mariesa arrived at the shelter, they immediately saw the little dog named Storie and knew it was the animal that needed it most compared to the other fours.
Stories was pregnant but she did not want to give birth in the kennel: the fateful day had arrived and the dog was still not giving birth.
It was as if she didn’t want her puppies to be born in those conditions, without a loving home.
An adoption that works wonders!
Chris and Mariesa decided to give her this chance and brought the future mother on all fours at their home!
When Storie was taken to the vet, it turned out she was expecting no less than 12 puppies!
The doctor ordered them to prepare a quiet place to lie down, as the birth could take place at any time.
The birth of the puppies
Sure enough, the labor started that same night, just 18 hours later having removed the dog from the kennel!
This just goes to show how much Storie needed a loving and caring home where she could give birth to her 12 puppies.
With the help of Chris and Mariesa, Storie gave birth to and raised all of the little ones, and when the time came, their humans made sure they found a good, loving home for each of them.
