A few days ago we received a urgent appeal from one of our readers, who is desperately asking for help in adopting one of the dogs she has rescued.
Tatiana Spurio he then told us the story of Marlo, a special dog still today.
Marlo’s sad past
Marlo he is a dog of about 3 years old, probably a cross between a Pitbull and a hunting dog, «but don’t let the breed scare you – the girl is keen to point out -, because he is a very sweet dog despite his sad past».
Marlo, in fact, came beaten by his masterindeed, he has some scars on his muzzle, and was kept chained outside permanently. Then, as if that weren’t enough, the poor black and white puppy was abandoned.
A glimmer of hope but…
Subsequently Marlo was taken by another gentleman who, however, for various health reasons, was unable to take him for walks. Furthermore, kept it closed behind a SAE from Amatrice (Emergency Housing Solutions of the 2016 earthquake), in an improvised box and very dangerous because full of tools like hammers, saws, nails…
“Since he wasn’t let out, he lived in his excrement, so the smell was nauseating for the neighbors as well and her crying was heartbreaking» the young volunteer tells us.
Tatiana met Marlo thanks to a boy who lives in the SAE next to that of the dog’s keeper. Together they tried to do everything possible to give the animal a more dignified life, trying to get him out when they could.
“But then, being there situation has become untenable and since we couldn’t adopt him, since we already have 2 other dogs, and wanting to avoid him going to the kennel because otherwise he would have stayed there for years, we decided to take him to a fee-paying boarding house for dogs, paid for by us and some citizens of Amatrice who offered volunteers,” Tatiana explained.
Marlo is looking for a new family
Lately, however, the difficulties to pay the pension are making themselves felt more and more and Tatiana is therefore desperately looking for a new family for Marlowho will be able to offer him all the love and attention he needs.
The guesthouse is located in Sora, in the province of Frosinone, in the Laziowhere he is looked after by a dog educator and educated to be completely ready to be part of a new family.

Despite everything she’s been through, Marlo is a very sweet, energetic, docile dog. It’s compatible with female dogs, to be evaluated with male specimens, it’s not neutered yet and it’s adoptable throughout Italy.
