Following a report from theAbandoned Animal Friends Associationthe OIPA Zoofile Guards, International Organization for the Protection of Animalsthey went to a apartment near Genova in which they were present five dogs forced to live in pitiful conditions.
Those responsible are now accused of incompatible detention according toarticle 727 paragraph 2 of the Penal Code.
The house of horrors
As soon as you cross the door, the OIPA Guards, in collaboration with the State Police and the Carabinieri, they found themselves in front of an apartment in pitiful conditions in which excrement, leftover food and various dirt they dominated it.
The dogs found, two Corsi, a Malinois, a Rottweiler and an Amstaff were forced to live in such conditions, victims, very probably of abuse. The five unfortunates proved themselves immediately scared and now they have been brought to the Monte Contessa municipal kennel in Genoawhere veterinary care will follow.
A better future
OIPA now hopes to be able to rehabilitate the dogs in order to give them a better future, at least pending the sentence:
«The five dogs lived abandoned to themselves in a context of extreme hygienic-sanitary degradation. It is hoped to be able to rehabilitate them as soon as possible, after which they can be taken into temporary foster care, pending the definition of the criminal proceedings”, explains Gerardo Latina, deputy coordinator of the Oipa zoophile guards of Genoa.
The owners of the dogs, five people of Tunisian origin, have been identified and not without hostility. Hopefully, justice will now take its course.
