Pitbull found after being left for dead in dumpster is fighting for life

Tuesday, August 30, 2022, a woman was on her way to the resort Spectra Apartments in the state of California to United States when she heard faint sounds coming from a dumpster.

Opening the lid and poking around a bit, she discovered a Pitbull left for dead in an airline carrier.

Its owner had taken care to cover it with rubbish so that it would not be seen.

“Thank God someone heard him cry. He used what little strength he had left to moan for someone to come to his aid.”said a spokesperson for the shelter Mutty Paws Rescue at Patch.

His master had left him a bowl of water, but the unfortunate man was far too lethargic to drink.

A critical state of health

The woman immediately contacted the rescue group of the Mutty Paws Rescue who hastened to take care of him.

The volunteers called him Mushu and entrusted to veterinarians. It turned out that in addition to being extremely emaciated, he suffered from pancreatitis. In addition, his white blood cell count was abnormally high. This suggested to caregivers that he was suffering from an infection.

They therefore gave him intravenous treatment as well as X-rays. He is also receiving vitamins and nutrients to give him some energy.

Happily, Mushu reacts quite well.

“He’s still too weak to stand for more than a few seconds, but he’s a fighter! He will be hospitalized until further notice to receive the care he desperately needs.”explained the spokesperson.

At the same time, an investigation is being carried out to find the author of this terrible act of abuse. A reward of 5,000 euros and already reserved for anyone who can provide information about their identity.

“We believe that the person responsible for this heinous act towards Mushu lives in a nearby neighborhood very close to the dumpster in which he was dumped”said the refuge on its social networks.
