We are in Belgium, in February 2021, it’s snowing and very cold. A passer-by discovers a basket quite by accident.
It’s actually not a basket but the a cat’s bed. And it’s not empty.
A cat abandoned in its kennel
At the beginning of February, temperatures in Belgium are particularly low. But that didn’t stop someone from leaving their cat right in its kennel on the street, in the snow.
An absolutely ignoble abandonment since the animal, cold, could not have survived for long. Luckily, a passerby he saw the kennel and knew how to quickly take it good decision.
The anger of the shelter volunteers
In a Facebook post, shelter volunteers who welcomed the kitten did not hesitate to cry out all their own anger:
“People are no longer ashamed of anything. We thought we’d seen everything, but this is our turn too… You really need to have a lot of courage to do something like this…».
Called Hopethe cat has slowly recovered from this traumatic mishap.
Volunteers discovered that it was wounded in the leg and they thought that this was probably the reason for his abandonment.
