Nearly 200 dogs rescued from shelter where they were being held in appalling conditions, owner charged





A woman has been arrested by the police and will have to appear in court after hundreds of dogs were seized from her shelter. The latter lived in poor conditions, between insalubrity and cramped conditions. Several associations and agencies cooperated on this large-scale rescue.











An unsanitary shelter has been closed by the authorities and its owner arrested after the discovery of a large number of dogs offered there for adoption, reported WSB-TV Monday, August 29.

Wendy Brewerwho was head of the Dogs Rock Rescue at Franklin in the state of Georgia (southern United States), will be prosecuted for abandonment, abuse and cruelty to animals.

Responders attended to, examined and administered first aid to the canines in question, which were dispatched to several shelters in the county and those nearby.

Lack of hygiene and overcrowding

For the most part, these dogs of various ages lived crammed into cages or in rooms where basic hygiene measures were not even respected. We can realize this by discovering the photos shared by the sheriff’s office of the county of Heard.

An investigation has been opened and a call for witnesses launched in order to have as many elements as possible to shed light on this case.

Dogs rescued from this shelter can now look forward to a better life after experiencing only noise, dirt, deprivation and overcrowding, all of which cause stress and disease. They will continue to receive care and attention while waiting to find new families for them.
