Life can be wonderful when you’re just a puppy and you have all the love you need, surrounded by a family that makes you happy.
But happiness can snap in an instant and what seemed like a perfect life crumbles to pieces. Pixie’s story, however, proves that one can always find the strength to get back up stronger than before.
Pixie, the dog on wheels
Pixie and a Labrador of eight months and lives in Palermo. Just three months old, the vets find one primary non-inflammatory myopathycompatible with a form of congenital myofibral disproportiona pathology that brings her a serious motor difficulty in her legs, as well as weakness and ataxia.
For his family it is a heavy blow, his disease is rare and requires a lot of expensive treatments and a lot of time to devote to it. Heart in hand, they are obliged to entrust it to someone who can take care of it and from there begins the long battle of the dog.

An old Japanese proverb quotes «fall seven times, get up eight times» and it is with this mentality that Pixie has followed the care provided by the Veterinary Center of Palermo: thanks to the good response to physiotherapy, the little Labrador had a clear improvement in the hind legs.
The veterinarian to whom she is entrusted is convinced that with the right surgery Even the front legs they could improve. But between the operation and the post-operative period, others are needed 3 thousand euros.
Until now, Pixie’s care has been paid for by volunteers and by other angels who did free donations. Now the sweet little dog needs the economic help of all of us, but also (and above all) of a family that can guarantee her care and love for the rest of her life!
