In 2023 Purina supports 7 new startups to promote innovation in the pet care sector

From the beginning, Purina Unleashedthe first accelerator program dedicated to startups whose goal is the welfare of pets and their ownershas led innovation in the field of pet care and contributed to the development of new companies in the sector.

It is in this way that it manages to provide meaningful solutions for pet owners, all promoted by the Purina Accelerator Lab.

Purina, Europe’s leading pet care company, has announced the seven startups that will participate in the fourth edition of its prestigious Unleashed program.

This accelerator program is designed to support and guide the new generation of startups operating in the sector of technologies aimed at improving the lives of pets and their owners.

From assistive devices for pets to unique nose print dog identification technology this year Unleashed presents the best innovative products and services in the industry.

From Worldwidethe selected startups will benefit from customized business development packages based on their needs.

In addition, the winners will have access to a coaching program and will be able to rely on Purina’s important commercial skills to increase the visibility of their brand.

The winning companies will be supported by “champion Unleashed” and industry specialists for 20 weeks.

Leveraging Purina’s more than 125-year history and strong research and development capabilities, the program includes a structured project funded by Purina up to 50,000 Swiss francs (50,000 euros) to help startups achieve their goals.

The selected companies of the 2023 edition

Here are the winning startups of Unleashed 2023:

  • Bookmypet (United Arab Emirates) is a leading digital platform that connects pet owners with local service providers.
  • Dogami (France) is a web3 virtual game with adorable 3D NFT avatars of dogs, usable also from smatphone.
  • Feelloo (France) is a subscription-free, GPS-enabled ID tag designed to help cat owners care for their kitty using their smartphone.
  • LampoVet (Italy) is a telemedicine portal that offers specialist support for dermatological health and proper nutrition of pets with chronic diseases.
  • Petops (Turkey) is a digital assistance platform that offers veterinarians and pet owners a multitude of services.
  • S’more (Japan) uses nose print identification technology to identify dogs and link all the data of the pet to its nose.
  • VetChip (Australia) proposes an unprecedented technology based on biosensors that monitors the health of animals to help them live healthier, happier and longer.

Driving the future of pet care

Since its launch in 2019, Unleashed supported 18 startups, including the Spanish one A kisswhich produces an appliance that helps cook balanced food for pets, and Animoscopea French telehealth provider for pets that empowers pet owners to make decisions based on experience and data.

Unleashed 2023, which announced the winners in March, was designed to create new leading products and services in the pet care and pet food industry, improving the lives of pets and their owners.
