There are many stories like this. A dog comes abandoned, but despite your misfortune, it is rescued and an association takes care of it. But then it becomes Invisible: nobody adopts it. So days and months go by… which soon become years, always locked up in the same box.
Whether it’s a dog, a cat or even a person, anyone would lose hope seeing time go by inexorably, while no one notices you anymore.
It is therefore no wonder that the Facebook community was moved to see the Alexander’s video.
Alejandro, finally free!
“We have no words to express the emotion of seeing Alejandro leave the refuge, leaving behind a captivity that began in August 2016”, writes the association SOS Los Barrios Kennellocated in Cadiz, Spain, on his Facebook page.
The video had hundreds of comments and more than 800 likes. “Now you only have eyes for your mom,” the person filming the images tells the dog.
Celiahis new human mom, says that everyone in the family is very happy to have Alejandro in their life and that everything is ready at home to welcome him!
Only love and happiness on the horizon!
Before putting the dog in the car, the whole family takes a walk along the paths surrounding the shelter premises. “Finally free and at home, adopted by a family that has bet on his freedom and happiness,” reads the text of the video.
After the walk, Alejandro’s new family shared another video showing him in a car.
“On the way to his new home, quiet in the car. Alejandro, we love you. Welcome among us!» Celia says in the video.
We wish all dogs suffering from abandonment didn’t have to live so long in one cage waiting to be noticed and adopted.
Hoping that one day at least we can do without letting animals live in cages, we can only be happy for Alejandro, whose story, albeit sad, finally had a truly radiant ending!
