Driver sees a man in pajamas with a Labrador and has a bad feeling (Video)

Mike Thomasa bus driver, was taking his usual route to downtown Portland, United Stateswhen suddenly something causes him to slow down:

“I noticed it was there a boy in the middle of the road with a dog and held him by the collar leading him across the street. It’s not a place you normally cross and the dog wasn’t on a leash,” says the bus driver in the video.

A strange situation

As well as the absence of a leash, the fact that the man was wearing pajama bottoms it puzzled him.

“The situation didn’t seem normal to me, so of course I stopped,” adds the driver.

Mike after the bus door so that man and animal can get on board – even if dogs are generally not allowed – because it says:

“Letting them in was the safest thing to do in that situation.”

The boy did not know the dog’s name

The suspect then starts an argument with a female bus passenger and offers to give her the dog. Again amazed and wanting to make sure that the animal really belonged to the boy, Mike asks the man the dog’s name several times. But each time, the boy gives a different name and never the one engraved on the collar. No doubt, the man had stolen the animal.

Also, arriving at the terminus, the driver informs the man that the dog would be staying with him so he could return it to its owners. The man then gets off the bus, alone and without opposition.

The family reunited

With regard to Cooper (the name written on the dog’s collar), he was able to count on the other passengers on the bus to comfort him until he was handed over to the police.

His masters were on their way and their son was in charge of taking care of the dog. Fortunately, a voicemail from the police allowed the owners to go get Cooper after midnight. Grateful to Mike, the family sends him a photo of Cooper with a message saying, “Thanks for bringing me home with my family.”
