Cat Returns Home Completely Painted, Owners Want Justice

A couple from Sarthe is in shock after finding their cat coated in paint. The animal had to be taken to the vet. Its owners hope that this act of mistreatment will not go unpunished, and especially that information circulates as much as possible to prevent other attacks of this type.

Flavian, 28, does not want to have too many illusions about possible legal action against the torturer of her cat. He is also convinced that there will not even be an investigation, even though he informed the town hall of Sceaux-sur-Huisne (72), where he lives with his partner Manon and their feline friend, of what happened to the animal. The perpetrator of the act of abuse referred to here has not yet been identified.

It took place on Tuesday, July 26, reported The Echo Action. That day, their ginger cat Simba had been away longer than usual. Anxiety won the couple when the quadruped finally returned in the evening, but in a state that shocked them.

The cat was completely covered in red acrylic paint, most likely applied with a spray can, according to the young man.

Taken to the vet, Simba was put to sleep to facilitate the cleaning of his coat and skin, as well as to receive the care. The paint was removed with great strokes of oil, after unsuccessful use of soapy water.

Described as sociable and affectionate, the cat absolutely did not deserve to be attacked in this way. Besides, no animal should suffer such cruelty.

A petition has been posted on the platform MesOpinons hoping to find the culprit. It has been signed by more than 24,000 people.
