An ambulance dedicated to rescuing animals in distress was mobilized to rescue a dog that had fallen into a hole filled with mud. The young canine was visibly injured in the leg and needed treatment.











A dog trapped in the mud was rescued by a specialized team from a Texas animal protection association, reported FOX 26 Houston Wednesday, August 17.

Residents of a neighborhood in the southwest of Houston had been hearing the desperate barking of the quadruped, an 8-month-old Pyrenean Mountain Dog, for some time. They called the emergency services, and that’s the SPCA local who intervened.

The organization sent an ambulance to the scene used to rescue injured animals, named AGAIN (Injured Animal Rescue Ambulance). A volunteer from the association took care of extracting the Patou from its muddy trap, proceeding carefully. The animal finally found dry land.

He was cleaned, comforted and taken to the shelter of the SPCA. « He is super nice, super nice and above all very grateful to have been taken out of this difficult situation. », added Julie Kuenstle.

Showing a lameness, the young Pyrenean mountain dog was examined and treated by a veterinarian. According to the association, his possible masters have not yet come forward.
