4-year-old cat abandoned before Christmas because she wanted cuddles

Ellie she’s a kitten all black four-year-old who lives in Virginia, USA with his family. Or rather, she lived.

In fact, Ellie was abandoned by her humans just days before the 2022 Christmas break.

And abandonment which made the cat especially sad. His story made social networks react, especially for the reason for the gesture.

A too “clingy” cat

“I was abandoned because I wanted to sleep with my human at night and wasn’t allowed to, so I cried outside the bedroom door,” the shelter told Ellie’s story.

The cat was adopted last August. Unfortunately, however, her new master shortly after began a relationship with a person allergic to cats.

As a result, Ellie was banned from the bedroom of the couple.

A shocking abandonment and a story that has caused awave of emotions among Internet users. The tweet received over 71,000 likes in just three days.

Thanks to the media coverage of Ellie’s story, luckily the cat already has found a new home where she can spend the Christmas holidays surrounded by love.

To avoid situations similar to the one Ellie found herself in, the shelter that took her in after abandonment advises potential adopters to focus more on personality and character of their future cat, rather than on physical characteristics such as coat length, breed or colour.
