While intervening in a house on fire, firefighters discover a terrified cat breathing heavily

The rapid intervention of the firefighters enabled them to save the life of a cat, trapped by the flames and the thick smoke which seized the house of its masters. It was then necessary to help him to find a normal breathing, because it was more and more difficult to do it.

A cat was rescued by firefighters as a fire raged through its owners’ home, reports Global News Wednesday, August 24.

That morning, around 6 a.m., the local fire and rescue brigade, the Cambridge Fire Department in this case, had been alerted by the neighborhood about a fire having broken out in a house located near the river Grand at Cambridgein the province of Ontario (east-central Canada).

Upon their arrival, the firefighters activated on 2 fronts. While some took care of fighting the flames using their fire hoses, their colleagues explored the interior of the house in search of occupants to evacuate.

The owners of the premises were not there. On the other hand, the firefighters discovered a cat there. The animal was having difficulty breathing due to the toxic fumes being inhaled. Surrounded on all sides by the flames, he was petrified with fear and stress.

The cat is safe and sound

They quickly took him out to entrust him to a colleague. The latter administered oxygen to him using a mask specially designed for the rescue of pets. The state of health of the feline no longer inspired concern.
