Noel McCluskey he was walking his cane Smudge along Fenit Beach, County Kerry, IN Irelandon Christmas morning when the Springer Spaniel he suddenly got excited. Sweet Smudge had spotted another Springer running along the beach.

But this was not just a simple Springer, but the little sister from which she was separated, Bestie!

A familiar scent

Noel discovered the surprising news after talking to Beasts’ owners as the dogs made their “introductions,” meaning they gave each other a good time. sniff in some delicate points! Not all dog habits are “nice!” Or at least not for humans!

Both owners couldn’t believe how good they were similar the two dogs. Then they found out that Smudge and Beasts had the same age. Then the coincidences became so many! Bestie’s parents said their dog was from a Cavan breederover 300 km away.

Noel couldn’t believe it: Smudge was from there too!

The owners then checked their phones to watch photos of the dog’s parents that the breeder had sent. They were definitely the same dogs, meaning Smudge and Bestie were from the same litter!

Noel shared the story via his Twitter account, along with some cute pics of Smudge and Beasts having a good time.

‘Christmas miracle on Kerry beach today. 2 dogs started playing with each other randomly. The owners notice similarities, start chatting and discover that they were born on 01/06/22 in Cavan and sold to different families of Dublin. Same photos of parents on phones! Reunited in Fenit», reads Noel’s post.

The owners of Beasts and Smudge have exchanged phone numbers with the aim of making this an unexpected family reunion a regular event.
