About two years ago, the American woman saw something that gave her hope in her mission!

A journey on the metro unlike any other

Gillian Rogers was on the 1 New York City Subway heading home when she noticed a young man on the other side of the train who had something on his lap.

She was very surprised when she realized it was a tiny kitten wrapped in a towel. Not only was the youngster keeping him warm, but he was also bottle-feeding him! You can see all the benevolence in the world in this man’s gaze. The kitten looked him straight in the eyes as he fed him. This scene was so adorable and Gillian felt her heart melt.

A spontaneous rescue full of love

Gillian needed to know more. She stood up and approached the young man to ask him about the kitten.

The boy told her that he had found the a few weeks old kitten abandoned in the city near a building, and that he had decided to save it, feed it and keep it warm.

Gillian snapped a picture of the youngster and kitten and shared it on her Facebook account. The snap quickly went viral with almost 13,000 shares and thousands of comments.

We are delighted that the little feline was able to find a warm and caring home!
