Walking the beach with the dog turns into a nightmare (Video)

A short clip, posted on Facebook, begins with the dog and his owner walking on the sand of a beach in Brittany (France) during a beautiful day.

But then the waves start coming, and fast too. Within seconds, the man and the dog are swept away by the water.

High waves coming

At one point, the man identifies some wooden stairs not far away and begins to lead his dog towards them. A few seconds later, however, agigantic wave overwhelms them submerging them completely.

The wave crashes against the rocks and the two disappear for a few seconds in the water. They were certainly seconds of panic and terror for both of them.

Thankfully, the water calms down for a while, giving the owner and his pet enough time to escape. The two appear to be in shock as they climb the stairs but appear to have sustained no injuries.

Safety first

“What a horror!!” – posted a user – «I’m so happy that they made it. But I have to say it really was irresponsible go walking on the beach in those conditions.’

We think he may be right. Safety first. Dogs depend on their owners! Is there anything more precious?
