Veterinarian Reveals 4 Cat Breeds He Would Never Take (Video)

It is a real success that Ben Simpson-Vernon is having on TikTok. This British vet recently shared his choices when it comes to dog and cat breeds.

After unveiling the list of dog breeds he would never have chosen for himself and the ones he loves the most, now it’s the cats’ turn!

The 4 worst cat breeds

Before starting his list, Ben Simpson-Vernon reminds us that this is just his personal opinion, based on his experience as a veterinarian. Nothing else.

  • Walking stick: Ben Simpson-Vernon, while praising the Bengal cat’s beautiful coat, points out that it is a hybrid between a domestic cat and a type of feral cat. According to him, Bengalis often have behaviors that are difficult to channel and also need a lot of stimulation.
  • Sphynx: Hairless cat, the Sphynx is becoming more and more popular around the world. But Ben Simpson-Vernon is not a fan of this naked cat and he prefers, in a very personal capacity, a cat with a nice coat to pet.
  • Scottish fold: Sweet and adorable, the Scottish fold is a delicately healthy cat who is often prone to arthritis from an early age and who has many bone and cartilage problems. Its folded ears are one of its main features.
  • Persian: very popular, the Persian cat has a flat face, which obviously causes many health problems, especially breathing. Persian is also prone to eye and heart, kidney and tooth problems. It is a cat breed with very fragile health whose breeding should not be encouraged according to the veterinarian.
