Pipsqueak and a Yorkshire of 800 grams which was found by an American association in an abusive “herd”, reduced to poor conditions.
With hydrocephalus, hepatic shunt, spine, neck and jaw problems which led her to lose all her teeth and, consequently, to have her tongue hanging sideways to her mouth, the vets had given her only a few months to live.
A first home and then …
The association that had taken care of her had managed to find her a first foster family. Unfortunately, however, due to health problems, the couple had to give up the adorable dog and thus called an animal-loving friend to take care of it.
The donnajust moved from Wisconsin to Indiana, she doesn’t think twice: she gets in the car and goes back to recover the unfortunate little girl.
In the beginning it was supposed to be just one temporary supportwaiting for a definitive adoption, but once she had her in his arms, the woman decided to keep her with him and to give her the best last days of her life.
8 years later
According to doctors, Pip would not have arrived at the end of 2014: we are in 2022 and, eight years later, Pip lives his best life with her favorite humans who, after adopting her, decided to adopt 5 other problem dogs: whether they are elderly, with behavioral problems or with some disease.
The woman, helped by her husband, who is also a great lover of animals, in an interview with GoBeatsAnimalsstates that his life has changed since Pip and the happy comarca became part of their lives:
«We live with 6 little dogs who sleep every night in bed with us. We have a whole wall downstairs with slates on which we write all the medicines for each of them ».
Of course, taking care of 4 paws with special needs can be wastefulbut what their heart feels is priceless!
A duckling that does good
And that’s not all! Pip is a special dog: besides her extraordinary one fortitudewhich helped her to overcome the hardest moments, the 4-legged has one little voice similar to a ducklingbut each of its barks has a different meaning:
“We have learned to recognize all his barks, to understand when he wants to go out, for example, or when he wants to eat”, says his mistress in the interview with GoBeats Animals.
And not only! Her courage pushed her to become too therapy dog: through the association Paws & Thinktoday Pip helps children and adults with physical and mental difficulties. And his work is very successful!
