What’s creepy about this abandoned cart?

It was the beginning of September, when the volunteers of the Spanish refuge Protector Welcome Ciudad Real issued a really chilling photo who has made the rounds of social networks, arousing indignation, anger and sorrow.
Here’s what happened.
The photo that caused a sensation
The reason why photography has quickly ignited the hearts of the digital community is easily understood. The volunteers found an abandoned puppy inside this old shopping cart, without water, food, or the chance to escape.
The scene is truly heartbreaking.
The little girl is visibly sad, frightened, dejected. She suffered from anemia, as her blood tests confirmed.
But as soon as the volunteers found it they immediately started with prime curemaking her acclimatise with her fellow men and starting to look for them a family: where to start if not from its incredible history?
A happy ending for the puppy
After a few weeks spent at the shelter, the progress has been incredible: not only did the puppy recover completely, but she turned out to be a very naughty, sociable and eager for affection (as well as beautiful!) and so, immediately broke through in his new master.
The volunteers also share the good news on the Facebook page: “We dedicate this photo to all of you who have shown us so much affection to reassure you about the puppy: now she has a wonderful dad!”
