In Spain the Galgos, or Spanish Greyhounds, are abandoned and let yourself die in the worst way by unscrupulous hunters, thrown into wells, tied to bridges and railway tracks.
These dogs are considered working dogs and are therefore excluded from the Spanish legislation concerning the welfare and protection of pets.
The Sevillian Association black greyhoundwhich for years has been dedicated to saving and al recovery of the Galgos abandoned and / or at risk of abandonment, he shared on his Facebook page images capable of touching even the hearts of the toughest people.

What happens when you save the life of a Galgo?
Triana did not know the meaning of the word “family” until a year ago, when she was adopted in the summer of 2021.
From that moment, as can be seen in the images, the little dog began to be felice thanks to its owners and to Orionanother Galgo and brother of misfortune, adopted years earlier by the same people.
The video, shared on the occasion of Triana’s first birthday, shows how a dog’s life changes when it “falls into the right hands”.

Story of a saved life
Triana moved in with her new family when she was just one puppy. We can see her in the first few seconds of the video, as she is held in her arms by her mistress.
As the images scroll by, we can observe how the little girl, with her somewhat clumsy behavior, tries to interact with Orión, the other dog of the family.
Over time, Triana bought trust in life and in men and became the queen of the house. Her love for her mistress has become so great that she can’t help but remain glued to her like a mussel!
Gradually, Triana and Orión became inseparable. They share everything: hours and hours of play and pleasant siestas and above all the fact that they are both the light of the eyes of their owner!
Days at home, on the beach, walks in the city … The three are truly inseparable and the images clearly demonstrate this!
A wonderful family
The beautiful images of Triana and Orión are accompanied by a song whose text could not be more suited to the story of this Galgo and his new family and which reads: “You changed me, I was lucky to find you, you complete me, you are my half”.
The video moved over two million people on Facebook and sparked thousands of comments highlighting how fantastic this family is, how happy the little dogs are and how precious the gesture is. save the life of animals in distress.

The shelters are full of dogs which, unfortunately, they have become invisible because old or sick, or because of a race or type that nobody wants.
