Adopted when in a difficult time in life, this beautiful black cat named Simon it was at that time very scarynot letting even his new human approach him.
Until one day he found himself stuck with no way out and needed the help of his young owner. Since that day Simon and JJ Yosh have become inseparable.
Better yet, Simon and his human have begun to share a common passion: i adventure travel. This is how the cat can visit a myriad of different places, climbing cliffs, kayaking, swimming in clear waters … A life as a true adventurer, as you will see in the beautiful shots below.
An adventure-loving cat
They say that dogs are man’s best friend, but the cat we’re talking about today is an exception. Simon the Adventurous Cat is a six-year-old Bombay cat who loves to hike and travel in a backpacker with his young owner and influencer JJ Young.
JJ adopted this cute big cat in 2016when he was just a puppy, and immediately started taking him on every single adventure he embarked on, especially for fear of leaving his cat alone in his home in Boulder, in glued (United States of America).
«6 years ago my life changed forever when my beloved adventure cat came into my life. Now I’m not going anywhere without my cat on my back », Yosh writes in this post on Instagram.
Passionate about outdoor activities, JJ Yosh made sure that even his furry friend, in himself of a curious nature like him, wanted and could accompany him in the various chosen destinations, informing himself well before leaving.
JJ even took his feline friend across state lines where the two kayaked and relaxed on Florida Keys beach, sailed Lake Clinton in Kansas, and rafted the Sacramento River near Lake Tahoe.
A special pet influencer
With so many unusual hobbies, at least for a cat, it’s no surprise that Simon has accumulated beyond that 680 mila follower on his dedicated account Backpacking Kittyliterally “cat with a backpack on his shoulder”, even if his human is obviously carrying the backpack.
And all the time the kitty spends alone with her human has resulted in a unique link between the two.
A unique bond
Although, as JJ Yosh revealed to a local newspaper, Simon is not the best in his role as an influencer as the feline tends to fall asleep while being filmed, walking away or taking off his harnesses, JJ said he couldn’t find a best hiking companion.
“In many ways, it’s like he’s my son. He is my soul mate and my guardian angel », concludes the boy.
