The end-of-year celebrations are a symbol of magic, and sometimes produce real miracles!

In any case, this is what happened to this cat recently entrusted to the animal shelter of Touques, in Normandy (France),

Deposited at the shelter on December 24th

Found by a local resident, the charming Bengal Cat was deposited at the shelter on Christmas Eve.

Fortunately he was identified by microchip, and by consulting the French identification file, the person in charge of the shelter that day could only write down surprising information: this magnificent 8-year-old cat, named Cartierit was indeed declared lost from August 2020!

The owners, originally from Dreux in the Eure department, had lost their faithful companion during their summer stay in Normandy more than two years ago.

Despite their searches, they had found no trace of the beloved feline.

December 28, an unforgettable day

For the joy of Touques Refugethe family did not hesitate to embark on the journey to find their four-legged friend as quickly as possible.

Cartier would have meowed when he heard the voices of the children of the family, it will surely have been a reunion full of emotions!

The importance of the microchip

The shelter manager said:

“This story especially highlights the importance of animal identification.”

However, as the volunteers at the animal shelter point out, never lose hope!
