Who knows how many times it has happened that dog owners give up cultural and social activities such as visits to museums because the dog is not allowed access. Certainly many.

That’s why the city ​​of Venice thought of a solution.

Thanks to the initiative Dog&Museum made available by the Venetian municipality and present in all the city’s civic museums, now even those with a four-legged friend will be able to enjoy the art of the city of canals.

What is it about?

The idea is quite simple: a specialized staff takes care of entertain the dogs while the owners visit the museums in total serenity.

Thanks to the agreement with the portal dedicated to the canine world Bauadvisorthe offer Dog & Museum makes available to their visitors a dog sitting service in combination with the classic ticket.

“The dog-friendly entertainment service dedicated to all visitors who have pets in tow is now also active in the Civic Museums of Venice”, announces the mayor of Venice Luigi Brugnaro on his Facebook profile.

How does it work?

The service is available by reservation only, which can be done on the Bauadvisor portal or through the dedicated app. Subsequently, an expert dog-sitter will take the visitor’s dog directly in front of the museum entrance to walk it in the surrounding areas, then handing it back to its owner at the end of the visit.

How much is the offer Dog & Museum?

The cost is 10 euros per hour and the booking of the dog-sitting service must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
